Wait Five Minutes
You know the old saying about how if you don't like the weather, just wait five minutes? Case in point. Here's the view, as of right this moment, from my back door:

Blue
We will start off with a typical non-photogenic shot of Jerry, for Lisa, who loves him in spite of his clumsy, non-photogenic, conformationally incorrect ways.
Following that are pictures of Jerry, Robert, and Blue. Blue, we have now discovered was named Blue for the character Blue Duck from Lonesome Dove. Which sort of makes more sense now. Right? Right?

Fashion Show
I'm almost afraid to publish these pictures. This was a 'fashion show' held here recently. It's really not the same without being able to hear all the commentary, and no, I have no explanation about the underwear on top of the clothes. I have no control. (Don't forget the giveaway in the entry below this one!)

A Giveaway!
So awhile ago I won a giveaway on my friend Margaret's blog for one of these very cool pendants. She sent me an additional one to do a giveaway on my blog, so here we go. I am fickle with a capital F, and can't decide which one to keep, so whoever wins this one can choose the one they'd like. My pictures are ... uh, less than professional, but check out her Etsy store for a better idea of how cute they really are, how they're made and so on. Plus, she donates to some very good causes, so you really *should check it out!

Anyway, I tried to come up with something clever for a contest, but I ... got nothing. So just leave me a comment, I'll put your name in a bowl and have the kids draw a winner. Because this is not exactly a high-traffic blog (I know! Can you believe it??) I'll leave it open until next Wednesday, April 28th.
Good luck!

Kelly's Tattoo
Here are a couple of pictures of the tattoo Kelly had done Friday night. He's wanted to get this done as a memorial to his brother for quite awhile now, and I think it turned out really well. He and his brother hunted together for all of their lives, so that's the significance of the deer.
In an aside, did you know in Montana there is no legal age requirement to get a tattoo? This means that anyone of any age can walk into a tattoo shop and get one, and for those under 18, they can do so without a parent's consent or knowledge. It's up to each shop to set their own guidelines. (This particular shop has a 14-year age limit, which frankly, doesn't make me feel any better.) Not to worry, though, there are some regulations. It is a violation of law and punishable by a $5,000 fine and up to five years in jail to tattoo anyone, including yourself, outside of a licensed tattoo shop. So at least your 9-year old's tattoo of Hannah Montana will be done professionally.
Anyway.
